How to Renounce Czech Residency
Residents of the Czech Republic who take up residency in another country may choose to renounce their Czech residency. This can be done by through the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Malta.
People wanting to renounce their Czech residency would need to make an appointment to visit the Honorary Consulate and bring with them their valid Czech ID Card. They would need to fill the appropriate form. The signature need to be affected in the presence of the Honorary Consul after validation of the signature.
The applicants must then hand over their Czech ID Card (občanské průkazy) to the Honorary Consul who will then sent it back to the Czech Republic.
A fee of EUR 13 is applicable.
