If I need a visa to visit the Czech Republic, can I obtain one from the Honorary Consulate in Malta?

Visas for the Czech Republic cannot be obtained through the Honorary Consulate in Malta.

As of May 1, 2023, all applications for Czech visas and residence permits from non E.U. citizens who are currently resident within the E.U. are to be received and processed by the visa centre of the Dresden Consulate General.

An applicant can apply through Dresden Visa Centre, provided that he or she has been granted long-term or permanent residence with the validity longer than one year in one of the Schengen states or a European microstate.

If I have a long-term visa/residency permit from an EU country, can I apply for a long-term visa/residency in the Czech Republic?

Holders of a valid long-term visa/residence permit of certain countries, including the Republic of Malta, may apply for a residence permit for the Czech Republic via the Visa Centre at the Czech Consulate in Dresden.
